V12 Vantage S Roadster – a 565 bhp topless monster

Aston Martin just announced a Roadster edition of the V12 Vantage S! And, it is going to be a regular production model, unlike the V12 Vantage Roadster which was limited to 101 cars. It looks amazing and I am 100% sure this will be a wonderful car to drive. However, if I am completely honest, I am pretty disappointed about this announcement, as it makes my “limited” edition V12 Vantage Roadster a lot less limited and special. When the V12 Roadster was introduced, it was presented as a one-time only limited run Roadster edition of the V12 Vantage. And now, 2 years later, a new V12 S Roadster appears and as a production model too. Okay, mine’s got a cool old-skool manual, but still…

Rumoured Lagonda sedan rendered by Wild Speed

Remember the spy shots of a possible new Aston Martin Lagonda prototype that I posted a few weeks ago? It is still rumoured to be a limited-run bespoke model by the Aston Martin Q branch, possibly called Lagonda.

Astons at the Nürburgring Test Center

The night before last week’s track day at the Nürburgring GP Strecke, all participants were invited for dinner at Aston Martin’s Nürburgring Test Center. I always love going there, because they never fail to have a nice collection of demo cars present.

Agent 002 at the BorderRun 2014

Our freshly wrapped V12 Roadster had its’ public debut this weekend at this year’s Borderrun event. Borderrun is a supercar tour with 140 supercars and sportcars through Zeeland (the south-west part of the Netherlands and the north-west part of Belgium). We joined the tour with 3 friends driving another Aston Martin (a matte black V8 Vantage Roadster) and two Cobra’s.

Confirmed: the 24th Bond movie will feature an Aston Martin!

It has been confirmed, the next Bond movie, for now referred to as “Bond 24”, will again feature an Aston Martin! This was confirmed by Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, at yesterday’s opening of the “Bond in Motion” exhibition in London. When asked whether the movie would again feature an Aston Martin, they responded: We’re looking at one, but that’s a secret. It’s a new design. and We were with Aston Martin yesterday, that’s how up to date we are with it! Can you guess what the new Aston will be? I hope it will be the new Vantage! 2 Astons and 2 Ferrari’s at the BZT Show

The “BZT show” is a Dutch television program that makes kids’ dreams come true. We were asked to come to the studios with some nice cars, to make one super-car loving boy very happy. Of course we will. So off to Hilversum we went, bringing two V12 Vantages, together with our friends from JD Customs, who brought two very nice Ferrari’s.

Special editions: DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White

Next to the Vantage N430, these are the other two special editions that Aston Martin will bring to Geneva. Two Carbon editions of the DB9: Carbon Black and Carbon White.

Special edition : V8 Vantage N430

I was already wondering what Aston Martin would bring to the upcoming Geneva Motorshow. Again the Vanquish Volante, V12 Vantage S and Rapide S? Nope, they came up with a cunning plan: they created 3 special editions, one of the V8 Vantage and two of the DB9. This is the special Vantage: the V8 Vantage N430. Looks great, right? But, how “special” is it really?

1962 Aston Martin DB4 GT sold for nearly 1.2 million euro

Last week (5 – 9 February) in Paris, the Retromobile fair was held, a great event with classic cars and the history of motorsports. One of the cars offered at the auction during this event was this 1962 Aston Martin DB4 GT (series IV) and it got sold for €1.184.500,-.

For sale : custom-built DB4 GT Zagato

We found this rare DB4 GT Zagato on eBay. It is for sale at Collector Motors in Texas. Looking at the price tag (US $2.4 million) you would think that this example is one of the 19 original Zagato’s. But no, this black beauty that is for sale is a unique one-off custom built project.
