Geneva 2013 – DB9 and DB9 Volante
I have never been much of a DB9 fan, but I must admit that I really like the looks of the new 2013 DB9. Subtle changes, but they fully bring this car up-to-date again. I haven’t driven it yet, the specs are promising though. In terms of power, the new DB9 is now at the same level of the retired DBS: 517 hp and a max torque of 620 Nm. In Geneva, Aston Martin displays both a DB9 (in the beautiful color Ming Blue) and a DB9 Volante (in the kind of boring color Amethyst Red).

Coming soon: Aston Martin CC100
The centenary celebrations continue. In May, at the Nürburgring 24-hour race, Aston Martin will reveal a new V12 Vantage based car: the CC100. Almost no information is available at the moment, but this is what we do know about the CC100: Based on the V12 Vantage. Styling influenced by the DBR1 racer. Two seats. Open top. That is, no top at all. No doors. Only two will be built. Pricing between V12 Zagato and One-77. Very interesting. Looks I will have to go to the Nürburgring 24-hour race in May 🙂 Source: Autocar.co.uk.
Geneva 2013: Vanquish by Q
This is my favorite of all cars currently at the Aston Martin stand in Geneva. It’s another example of “what Q can do”: a Vanquish in Morning Frost White, with a complete Spectral Blue interior and several interesting blue highlights on the exterior. Strange, but somehow it works. Or, let me be more specific: it works for me 🙂

Geneva 2013: the Aston Martin Rapide S
Aston Martin has chosen the Geneva Motorshow to show their new Rapide S for the first time, bringing two beautiful examples, one in Selene Bronze and one in Volcano Red. A quick recap on the Rapide S: It is Aston’s new version of the Rapide, which will replace the current Rapide (contrary to what they did with the Vantage and Vantage S).
Geneva 2013: the Bertone Jet 2+2
At the Geneva Motorshow today, Bertone revealed their one-off shooting brake based on the Aston Martin Rapide: the Bertone Jet 2+2. Based on the Rapide? Yes indeed, this roomy 4-seater is based on the “old” Rapide, not the Rapide S. But it does have a big mouth similar to Aston Martin’s new S model of the Rapide. If you look closely, you can spot styling elements based on other Astons, like the “gills” at the front and rear lights, both reminding of the One-77.

Vanquish Volante now testing in the UK
In the past weeks, we’ve already seen the upcoming Vanquish Volante almost without camouflage, first while testing in the snow, then more close-up photos, both times taken in Sweden. So it’s strange to see these new photos, taken in the UK, where the Vanquish Volante is driving around in full camouflage again.
