Yep, two car shows in one week! Saturday’s Interclassics event was all about classic Astons, but yesterday it was time to spot some new models at the AutoSalon in Brussels.
I spent most of my time in Hall 12, the super car hall, where Aston Martin had a stand showing a Rapide S, a Vanquish and a V12 Vantage S. But two other Astons could be found in other halls, a V12 Vantage GT3 hidden away in the bike halls and a classic DB6 Vantage at the Vredestein stand.
Vanquish Volante in Ocellus Teal
I am still undecided about this color, Ocellus Teal. On photos I always like it and looking back at my own pictures, the car looks wonderful. But in the flesh, the color has a greenish glow that I don’t like. Love the interior though, the True Teal with the yellow stitching is a great match.
V12 Vantage S in Tungsten Silver
Tungsten Silver, an unusual color for a V12 Vantage S. In fact, I think I have never seen a V12 Vantage in Tungsten Silver. However, combined with the black and carbon fibre details, it looked pretty menacing.
Rapide S in Meteorite Silver
I still love the Rapide S. The big mouth gives it a brutal look, while still staying stylish. On this car you can’t go wrong with Meteorite Silver (Ceramic Grey is another good choice for a Rapide IMO).
DB6 Vantage
An unexpected find at the AutoSalon event, a classic DB6 Vantage at the Vredestein stand.
V12 Vantage GT3
And finally, a V12 Vantage GT3 race car in the Belgian Racing Champions area:
