The rally has started! We have completed Day 1 of the Rally to London, 500 kilometers, and are now actually getting (a bit) closer to London. And what a day it was… beautiful locations, a fantastic route, amazing weather and over fifty wonderful Britisch machines ๐
The route : Como to Konstanz
- A = START: CastaDiva Resort, Como, Italy
- B = COFFEE: Kempinski Grand Hรดtel des Bains, St Moritz, Switzerland
- C = FINISH: Steigenberger Inselhotel, Konstanz, Germany
Today’s route took us all the way along Lake Como, from the bottom to the top, having fun in all the tunnels. Then on to St. Moritz via the Malojapass, where it started to rain a bit. Slippery when wet! From St. Moritz it was north, via Landquart, then to the Bodensee, a final stretch next to the lake and we arrived in Konstanz.
Start: The CastaDiva Resort in Como, Italy
The CastaDiva Restort is a beautiful place, looking over Lake Como. This was the meeting and starting point of the Rally to London. We arrived early to make sure we could see all participants arriving and of course, to secure a great parking spot for Billy Bilstein ๐
Video: Over 50 Aston Martin’s leaving the CastaDiva resort
Coffee break: The Kempinski Hotel in St. Moritz, Switzerland
A familiar location, as we’ve stayed here twice for the Aston Martin on Ice event. It was weird to see this place without snow and without the Aston Martin igloo in front ๐
Finish: The Steigenberger Insel in Konstanz, Germany
Because of the size of the group, we’re staying in huge hotels. Tonight finish is at the Steigenberger Hotel in Konstanz. It’s just over the Swiss/German border, in the south of Germany, at the edge of the Bodensee.
