Another 300 kilometers completed. And still not any closer to London ๐
But today’s route was wonderful, cruising through Switzerland, taking the long route over the St. Gotthard pass, as opposed to going through the tunnel.
Then a short stretch in Italy, to Saronno, which is halfway between Milan and Como. Perfectly situated to get to the starting point of the Rally in Como early tomorrow morning.
Video : Driving the St. Gotthard pass
We were stuck behind an A4 convertible for a while, but once we got passed we could finally let the V12 roar. I think I’ll never grow tired of this sound ๐
( if you’re as impatient as I am, skip to 1:05 for the noise! )
Spotted the first “other” Aston : a factory Rapide S
Shortly before arriving at the hotel in Italy, we encountered the first other Aston Martin on the road, a factory Rapide S. We had fun blasting through some tunnels together ๐
Filling up for tomorrow (fuel stop #3)
Only one fuel stop today ๐
This must be the right hotel…
Driving into Saronno, we were unsure if we had the right address. But coming up to our sat nav destination, it was clear : this must be it. Three Aston’s parked in front, 2 new Vanquish’s and the Rapide S that we met on the road.
Special Aston Martin parking : two spots for each car!
Okay, this is how Astons should be parked, taking two spots each ๐
